Lake Winola

Lake Winola Park was owned by the Northern Electric Railroad, the same company that owned Northern Electric Park. The park occupied about 50 acres around Lake Winola, and was home to a merry-go-round, ferris wheel, tumble bug, lake ferry, shooting gallery, freak show, and a dance pavilion. There were also other concessions, including a "high striker" attraction.

In 1982, the circular slab of concrete that the merry go round sat upon, and one of the pavilions remained standing.

Information obtained from Northeastern Pennsylvania, Feb. 17, 1982.
